The accounting supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the company's accounting functions. This includes managing daily accounting operations, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring all practices adhere to accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented leader with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in financial management. 

Key responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:

· Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting staff, including delegating tasks and reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance.

· Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance management of accounting personnel.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

· Oversee all general ledger activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

· Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

· Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide regular reports to executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

· Ensure all financial operations comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

· Develop, document, and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures.

· Implement and maintain a system of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.

Audits and Tax Management:

· Coordinate and manage annual and quarterly financial audits, serving as the main point of contact for external auditors.

· Oversee the preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Assist in the development of annual budgets and prepare periodic forecasts based on financial trends and strategic objectives.

· Monitor company spending and analyze budget-to-actual variances.
