The Groundskeeper/Gardener is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and aesthetic appeal of the outdoor areas of Casa Marta Pateros. This role ensures that the property’s provincial-style ambiance is well-kept, welcoming, and consistent with the relaxing “oasis in the city” experience our guests expect. The position covers daily upkeep of the garden, pathways, common areas, and light exterior repairs.

• Maintain the garden, plants, trees, and landscaping features to keep the property green, neat, and inviting.
• Perform regular sweeping, cleaning, and clearing of pathways, walkways, and outdoor seating areas.
• Water, trim, prune, and fertilize plants as needed.
• Monitor plant health and report or treat minor pest issues.
• Perform light repairs around the grounds (e.g., fixing loose tiles, repainting small areas, replacing bulbs).
• Clean outdoor furniture and maintain the neatness of common areas.
• Assist with waste management, including proper disposal and segregation.
• Support occasional outdoor setup for guests or events.
• Ensure all outdoor spaces reflect the calm and homey atmosphere of Casa Marta Pateros.

Job Requirements

• Preferably with experience in gardening or basic grounds maintenance.
• Knowledge of proper plant care, landscaping tools, and basic outdoor upkeep.
• Physically fit and able to work under sun or light rain as needed.
• Basic handyman skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with good attention to detail.
• Trustworthy, punctual, and respectful toward guests and staff.
• Willing to maintain the warm, provincial-inspired aesthetic of the property.
