  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Drafting job descriptions, advertising openings, screening CVs, interviewing candidates, checking references, and running background checks.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.
  • Employee Administration:
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Managing contracts, probationary periods, and new hire paperwork.
  • Handling payroll, pensions, and benefits administration.
  • Employee Relations & Culture:
  • Acting as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflicts, advising management.
  • Supporting performance management systems and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Organizing training, development, and sometimes social events.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensuring adherence to employment laws and company policies.
  • Overseeing health, safety, and welfare procedures for employees. 

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Business acumen and knowledge of employment law.
  • Computer literacy and data analysis skills. 

Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in recruitment, employee relations, or general HR.
  • HR certifications (like PHR) are often preferred.
