Junior Software Engineer (API Migration & Payments Experience)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Developer with a keen interest in backend development, API migration, and payment systems. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills while contributing to projects that power real-time financial transactions and scalable APIs. You'll work with a dynamic team of developers and gain hands-on experience with modern tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Java 8+) and Node.js
• Assist in the migration and integration of APIs for internal and external systems, particularly in payments and financial services
• Collaborate on feature enhancements, bug fixing, and light UI-related tasks
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
• Work with REST and SOAP APIs, including creating and consuming OpenAPI specifications
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and manage Docker-based deployments
• Interact with various data storage systems such as RDBMS (SQL), Redis, and MongoDB

Qualifications:

• Strong foundation in Java 8+, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Spring Boot
• Hands-on or academic experience with Node.js and microservices
• Exposure to API development, integration, and migration processes
• Basic understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience or interest in payment processing systems or financial APIs is a strong plus
• Eagerness to learn and grow in areas such as DevSecOps and Generative AI (GenAI) tools
