Sample Collection & Preparation

• Collect raw leachate, treated effluent, groundwater, and surface water samples from various monitoring points. 

• Prepare and preserve samples according to standard methods and regulatory protocols. 

Laboratory Analysis

• Conduct physical and chemical tests such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, ammonia, heavy metals, and other key leachate parameters. 

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, DO meters, turbidity meters, and analytical balances. 

Quality Assurance

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of results through regular calibration, 

standardization, and validation of testing methods. 

• Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Laboratory Quality Control Plans. 

Documentation & Reporting

• Record test results in lab notebooks and digital logs accurately and promptly. 

• Prepare and submit daily/weekly lab reports to the LTP Supervisor. 

Compliance Support

• Assist in preparing regulatory compliance documentation for DENR, EMB, and 

local government reporting. 

• Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and sampling events. 

Safety & Housekeeping

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory and storage areas. 

• Follow proper waste disposal, chemical handling, and safety procedures in 

accordance with RA 6969 and internal EHS protocols. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or a related field. 

• At least 1 year of laboratory experience in an environmental, wastewater, or industrial setting (preferred). 

• Familiar with wastewater or leachate testing procedures and relevant DENR standards. 

• Knowledgeable in laboratory QA/QC practices and environmental monitoring systems. 

• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and analytical skills. 

• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
