The Lead Accountant - FinMan is responsible for analyzing existing accounting processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing financial data, and developing innovative solutions to optimize accounting workflows. The Lead Accountant will also ensure preparation or reports and compliance with relevant regulations.


Job Description

  • Analyze current accounting processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement streamlined accounting procedures and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform operational audit as necessary.
  • Evaluate and implement accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Provide training and support to team members on new technology implementations.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flowcharts.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to update stakeholders on process improvement initiatives and outcomes.
  • Develop a budget template, implement budgetary controls, and provide insights to support effective cost management.
  • Oversee the company's tax function, ensuring compliance with local and national government.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other relevant standards.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Support external and internal audits, addressing queries and providing necessary documentation.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance in all reporting activities.


Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience with day-to-day accounting operations including payroll, BIR, reporting and financial reporting
  • Prior experience preparing and filing all mandated government filings including BIR, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG
  • Prior experience with Quickbooks is highly desired
  • Detail-oriented, especially when concerned with numbers.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
