YOUR IMPACT
The Lead Payroll Specialist opportunity is 70% functional payroll processing and 30% technical project implementation. You will be joining a global payroll team responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for entities within OpenText as well as assisting with payroll system updates & implementations that will allow our systems to scale up consistent with Company growth.
What The Role Offers
- Primary focus to process payments to employees in the APJ (Asia Pacific & Japan) within strict deadlines, including the data input, related audits/edits of that data, relevant reporting, and interacting with other payroll team members in the Managed Services delivery model.
- Project work can include but not limited to streamlining and simplification of payroll processes, tool implementation, and system migration.
- Accountable for providing a high level of customer service to all Payroll stakeholders, including but not limited to employees, Human Resources, Finance, and other Payroll team members with a focus on confidentiality, including liaison with Payroll provider. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and initiative as well as excellent working knowledge of payroll practices.
- Ensure compliance and controls with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Other examples of important deliverables are government filings and remittances, taxation, stock plans and options administration, and social insurance / pension remittances.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in delivering Payroll for the Philippines, Australia, China, and/or Japan ideally with at least 1000 employees
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience with focus on compliance and controls. Regulatory environment exposure such as on tax, social security, pension, statutory reporting, year-end activities, etc.
- Preferred but not required: outsourced payroll packages (ADP Globalview, Streamline, Celergo, Immedis, etc.), and SAP SuccessFactors HCM experience
- Project management such as implementing new payroll platforms and systems integrations able to influence stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills, detail oriented, organized, analytical, independent but collaborative, good communication, innovative, with initiative problem solver
- Current work set up in RCBC, Makati (hybrid, at least 3 days per week), predominantly day shift to mid, rare to never night
