• Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Replace or repair worn or damaged parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all equipment serviced.
• Respond to emergency repair calls and provide field service when required.
• Collaborate with operators and site supervisors to identify recurring mechanical issues and recommend solutions.
• Field and workshop-based work; may involve exposure to noise, dust, grease, and outdoor conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or technical/vocational course in mechanical technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
• Proficient with mechanical tools, welding, and diagnostic software.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy parts and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Driver’s license (preferably with heavy vehicle endorsement).
