About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Drafter with experience in residential and commercial construction projects to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is proficient in drafting tools such as Chief Architect or equivalent software and can produce accurate, high-quality drawings that support design, permitting, and construction.

This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented and efficient, who can work independently while collaborating closely with architects, designers, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise architectural drawings and construction documents for residential and commercial projects.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and details based on project specifications.
• Ensure all drawings meet code requirements, design standards, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate plans.
• Review redlines and make revisions promptly and accurately.
• Maintain organized drawing files and document control.
• Prepare plans for submission to permitting authorities, when applicable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial drafting.
• Proficiency in Chief Architect or other architectural drafting/design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and plan sets.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with permitting or plan submittals.
• Knowledge of structural, mechanical, or MEP coordination.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering tools.
• Experience in both new construction and renovations.
