Operations Manager (FMCG)
Inbound Logistics & Inventory Management
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and stock levels across warehouses.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customs for timely delivery and clearance of goods.
Warehouse & Storage Operations
- Manage warehouse layout, storage systems, and inventory flow.
- Implement best practices for stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), safety, and cleanliness.
- Monitor warehouse staff performance and ensure compliance with SOPs.
Distribution & Delivery
- Plan and execute efficient distribution strategies to meet customer demand.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to reduce costs and improve service.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods to retailers or clients.
Process Optimization & Cost Control
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements across operations.
- Monitor operational costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Use data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and supervise operations staff including warehouse, logistics, and drivers.
- Conduct regular training and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain product quality standards throughout the supply chain.
- Handle audits and inspections related to operations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular reports on inventory, distribution, and operational performance.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and stock movements.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Holder in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage teams and drive operational efficiency.
- Experience Level: 2–3 years of operations management experience
- Preferably with relevant experience in distribution, logistics, or any field related to FMCG operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and external partners.
- Valid Driver’s License and proficient in driving 4-wheeled vehicles.
- Willing to be assigned in various locations within the Camarines Sur area.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record in managing logistics, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and warehouse management systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and customs procedures.
Leadership & Management:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational efficiency.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Communication & Coordination:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to warehouses, distribution centers, and supplier locations as needed.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
