Qualifications:

• Experienced Buyer, preferably with background in MRO or aviation industry
• Education: Graduate of any 4-year course, or related area preferred.
• May substitute comparable experience for education.
• Relevant experience: 1-3 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or closely related field.

Skills/Competencies:

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop supplier relationships
• Working knowledge in Quantum system or comparable ERP system
• With negotiation skills
• Self-motivated and achievement oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team based environment
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities:

• Review all request for purchase for completeness of specifications and other details.
• Monitor requisitions to identify commonly purchased items that would qualify for volume agreements, call-off contracts, or lock-in price agreements and makes recommendations to immediate supervisor.
• Obtain quotations from qualified and accredited suppliers.
• Review bids, negotiates for more favorable costs and terms, and prepares recommendation summary report for immediate supervisor’s approval.
• Minimize PO discrepancies through coordination with finance and warehouse to resolve invoice discrepancies and shipping errors.
• Source out, identify and recommend new suppliers.
• Identify and define supplier issues, submit recommendations or solutions to immediate supervisor.
• Identify and define internal process problems, submit recommendations to immediate supervisor.
• Comply with all procurement policies, procedures, and processes.
• Update individual and team reports periodically.
• Perform other related duties as required by the Immediate Supervisor and/or Manager of Support Services.
