1. Upon turnover of shift, reads operation logbooks and obtains verbal or written 

information from the outgoing technician on status of operation. 

2. Coordinates with the Ethanol Production Supervisor for any instruction on 

prevailing fermentation process conditions. Likewise, at the end of the shift 

relays important information to the incoming technician. 

3. Operates the Fermentation Main Control Panel (Digital Control System) and 

closely monitors all required parameters (yeast condition, pH, Brix) in order to 

attain the optimum fermentation efficiency set by superior for maximum 

production of ethanol and CO2.

4. Operates the fermentation syrup tank, yeast propagation and separation and 

ensures proper sterilization of all tanks.

5. Maintains material balance of the materials being processed in order to attain 

desired over-all plant efficiency.

6. Operates the Cooling Towers and ensures sufficient supply of cooling water 

to the Fermentation and Distillation units.

7. Reports to supervisor any abnormal/irregular condition of the equipment and 

instruments used during the shift.

8. Ensures that proper health, safety, sanitation and good housekeeping are

maintained within the working area at all times.

9. Operates the Yeast Separators to recover viable yeast for recirculation to the 

fermenters.

10. Coordinates with the supervisor with regard to the right amount of nutrients 

and other direct material doses into the fermentation system. 

11. Sees to the accomplishment and documentation of all operation readings and 

observations made during the shift.

1. College graduate preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering
2. Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
