Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating new leads and converting them into opportunities. The Sales Engineer’s duties include communicating with customers, conducting outbound calls to prospective clients, and following up on generated leads.

Contact potential clients and arrange meetings to establish professional rapport.

• Communicate effectively with customers, as well as business and technical stakeholders.
• Increase the value of leads and existing customers while attracting new clients.
• Research and qualify new leads.
• Perform lead generation activities.
• Create and maintain a database of existing and prospective customers.
• Remain informed about competing products and services.
• Achieve assigned monthly sales quotas.
• Utilize excellent oral communication skills and best practices in customer service when engaging with customers.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Inside Sales professional within the industrial automation industry, preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and teamwork skills.
