Sales Manager (Electrical Supply Industry)

The Sales Manager will lead and oversee the sales team, develop growth strategies, and drive business expansion within the electrical supply industry. The role requires deep knowledge of electrical products (pipes and fittings, panels and breakers, lighting, wiring devices, fans and blowers, gensets), market dynamics, and customer requirements in project-based segments. The Sales Manager will be responsible for building strong client relationships, hitting revenue targets, and identifying new business opportunities.


  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
  • Manage and motivate the sales team to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Identify new business opportunities, clients, and markets within the electrical supply industry.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with contractors, developers, distributors, and other key customers.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to adjust sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to management.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with customers in line with company policies.
  • Conduct client visits, site inspections, and sales presentations as required.
  • Train and mentor sales staff to improve product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of proven sales experience in the electrical supply industry.
  • At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong background in dealing with electrical contractors, developers, industrial accounts, or government procurement is an advantage.


Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical supply products, applications, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with CRM systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork as needed.
