A Sales Management Trainee is an entry-level position that involves learning sales and management skills under the supervision of experienced professionals.

 

The Sales Management Trainee assists Sales Business Unit Heads with daily sales operations, gaining practical experience in market analysis, customer relations and business strategy. Sales Management Trainee will learn company procedures. contribute to the sales targets, and develop leadership and administrative abilities needed for advancement.

 

Core responsibilities

 

  • Sales support: Assist senior sales personnel by learning sales administration, observing the sales process, and supporting sales teams in reaching their targets.
  • Client relationship management: Practice building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients. This includes assisting customers with inquiries, quotes, and ensuring a positive overall experience.
  • Market analysis: Conduct research on market trends, competitor activity, and new sales opportunities.
  • Training and development: Actively participate in all training programs, workshops, and team meetings to enhance professional knowledge and management skills.
  • Administrative assistance: Provide administrative support to managers by preparing reports, analyzing sales data, and keeping track of business revenue.
  • Strategic planning: Contribute ideas and support the management team with strategic planning and the implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Product knowledge: Acquire a deep understanding of the company's products or services to effectively promote them to potential customers. 

 

     

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as business administration, marketing, or management, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for client and team interactions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed business recommendations.
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills: Trainees must be able to build relationships, work effectively in a team, and demonstrate potential for managing people.
  • Drive and motivation: A strong desire for a career in sales, a proactive drive for results, and a willingness to learn are vital for success in this role.
  • Computer proficiency: Familiarity with business software, including Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, is often necessary.
  • Adaptability: A sales management trainee must be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances within the business.
