POSITION TITLE: Commissioning Manager for Solar Power Plant (Project-based)
WORK LOCATION: Nueva Ecija, Philippines
WORK SETUP: On-site; Project-based (2 Years)
SALARY: Php150,000 to Php300,000
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and oversee all commissioning activities for a ground-mounted solar power plant located in Nueva Ecija. The successful candidate will ensure that all systems and components of the project are properly installed, tested, and operational according to design specifications and performance targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the planning, execution, and documentation of all commissioning activities for the solar power plant and associated systems.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operational phases.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, checklists, and procedures.
• Oversee system energization, functional testing, performance validation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper integration and operation of electrical, mechanical, SCADA, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards during commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and initial operation phases.
• Generate detailed commissioning reports and handover documentation.
• Train operations personnel as required during the handover process.
• Interface with local authorities and third-party inspectors for inspections and approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline; PRC license preferred.
• Must have experience in BESS Technology.
• Must experience working in NGCP.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commissioning, testing, or O&M in power generation, with strong preference for solar power plant experience.
• Proven track record of commissioning ground-mounted utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Solid understanding of PV system components including inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with local codes, grid compliance requirements, and international commissioning standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Proficient in preparing technical documentation and reports.
• Willing and able to work full-time onsite in Nueva Ecija throughout the 2-year project duration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Can start on October 1, 2025.
PREFERRED:
• Experience working with Philippine grid operators (e.g., NGCP, MERALCO) during commissioning and grid synchronization.
• Prior experience in EPC or Owner’s Engineer roles.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and performance monitoring tools.
