I. Job Purpose


Systems Analyst acts as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions by analyzing, designing, and improving systems to ensure they meet organizational goals. They evaluate existing processes, gather and document user requirements, and collaborate with IT and business teams to implement efficient, cost-effective solutions that align with the organization’s objectives. They ensure systems are functional, scalable, and reliable, contributing to operational excellence and strategic decision-making.


II. Job Duties and Responsibilities


1. Develops an overall technical solution


  • Thorough assessment and analysis of business requirements
  • Ensures technical solution adheres to a defined set of quality criteria or meets IT standards, Business and Security requirements.
  • Holds regular meeting and detailed discussion with the SA/Programmers/ Business unit/ Vendor (if outsourced) regarding project requirements, processes and specifications.
  • Proactively performs research and development needed for the project and function.
  • In-depth knowledge on business processes.
  • Assist Project manager / technical lead in planning and estimating efforts by providing input / clarity on business requirements
  • Prepares necessary project artifacts and ensures that the implementation team has the entire details required to deliver a successful end product.
  • Verifies and validates that the product delivered is functioning as it designed for and that it meets the business requirements.


2. Systems Analysis, Design & Development


  • Performs detailed analysis, database and infra design (if applicable) of system application in collaboration with the Infrastructure team.
  • Conceptualizes and develops quality application programs (or prototype)
  • Ensures technical design and programs adhere to a defined set of quality criteria or meet IT standards, Business and Security requirements.
  • Works with the Project team in resolving project issues  Prepares source code listings.
  • Assists the team responsible in the promotion of modules to UAT and production
  • Ensures update/cascading of the updated versions in the source versioning tool
  • Updates the System/Application Configuration document after prod (if applicable)


3. Change Management


  • Ensures the delivery of solutions based on standard IT change management process.
  • Ensures all issues are reported, discussed, escalated and addressed.


4. Production Support


  • In-depth application and functional knowledge on the assigned applications and related technologies/platform.
  • Responsible for the assisting in the second level investigation as endorsed by Production Support team
  • Conducts project post-implementation review.
  • Assists internal and external clients on the process and systems related concerns as endorsed by Production Support.


5. Coordination, Report and Document Management


  • Coordinates closely with internal and external teams/clients on project related and support activities.  Maintains configuration management document (as assigned).
  • Ensures submission of project-related documents to the team/personnel responsible for safekeeping IT/Project related documents.
  • Prepares status report and other project related/ad hoc reports (as assigned) and updates/maintains project documents as needed.
  • Ensures submission of assigned project deliverables based on the bank's project standards.


6. Performs other functions that may be assigned by superiors from time to time


  • Conducts application training/orientation (as assigned).
  • Actively participates in Bank’s Service Quality initiatives, BCP exercises and compliance related requirements.
  • Actively participates in the Bank’s sustainable finance-related activities and performs functions as assigned, to help achieve sustainable finance and other sustainability goals of the Bank  Attends seminars and training programs related to the job.
  • Whenever applicable as may be designated/assigned, act as the Unit's Risk Delegate/Alternate (RD/RDA) and/or Auxiliary Compliance Officer/Deputy Auxiliary Compliance Officer (ACO/DACO) and perform RD/RDA and ACO/DACO duties & responsibilities so required by Risk Management Office (RMO) and Compliance Office (CO), respectively.


III. Job Qualifications


  • At least four (4) years in College/IT-related course
  • At least 2 years work experience in analysis and design, development, unit and integration testing, and documentation.
