• Providing advice on tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Perform research and due diligence in legal matters concerning commercial contracts and agreements.
• Communicate and negotiate with local government.
• Provide legal counsel on various tax matters, interpreting tax codes and regulations, and reviewing client operations to ensure compliance with tax laws.
• The role includes representing clients before tax authorities, drafting legal documents for tax cases, and negotiating settlements.
• Advising on the tax implications of business transactions and developing tax-efficient strategies are key aspects. Assisting clients with tax incentives is also part of this.
• Keeping track of changes in tax legislation and providing training to internal teams and clients are important responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A law degree and Philippine Bar admission are essential, with a CPA license being advantageous.
• Two (2) years of relevant work experience relating to compliance and regulatory matters.
• Must have prior experience as a tax lawyer
• A strong background in taxation and regulatory compliance is required.
• Experience in a tax-related field, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment, is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively both independently and as part of a team is important.
