The Transportation and Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of daily deliveries. This role oversees the dispatch team and delivery fleet to guarantee timely and accurate distribution of goods while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage delivery schedules based on Sales Orders (SO) submitted by the Sales Department.
  • Assign delivery trucks, drivers, and helpers according to daily operational requirements.
  • Prepare trip tickets and provide meal allowances for delivery personnel.
  • Review and endorse overtime permits submitted by delivery staff for approval by the MCD Manager.
  • Summarize daily timekeeping records of extra workers for submission to HR & Admin for payroll processing.
  • Prepare daily summaries of outbound delivery schedules per truck, indicating customers and destinations.
  • Manage petty cash funds and oversee their replenishment and weekly expense reporting.
  • Review and recommend approval of leave applications filed by delivery personnel.
  • Coordinate with external truckers to accommodate large volumes of deliveries.
  • Monitor and ensure timely vehicle registration renewals based on expiry dates.
  • Perform other related tasks and special assignments as directed by the MCD Manager.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (any business or logistics-related course preferred)
  • Experience: At least three (3) years of experience as a Transportation and Dispatch Supervisor


Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Management
  • Experience in Forecasting and Budgeting
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
