The Prime Mover Driver is responsible for safety operating and driving prime movers to transport containers, goods, and equipment within the company’s facilities, ensuring the efficient movement of cargo across the yard and to/from various locations. The driver is responsible for basic vehicle upkeep, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and maintaining accurate logs to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Safe Operations & Transportation of Cargo

• Safely drive the prime mover to transport containers and goods within the Container Yard and Port.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of cargo to designated locations, supporting efficient facility operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols for loading, unloading, and driving to ensure the protection of goods, equipment, and personnel.

Trip Inspection & Vehicle Maintenance

• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the prime mover is in good working condition, reporting any issues for prompt repairs.
• Perform daily inspections of key components such as brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels to ensure the vehicle’s safe operation.
• Identify and report any issues or defects immediately to the maintenance team to prevent delays or safety hazards.
• Ensure proper vehicle upkeep by following scheduled maintenance procedures and addressing maintenance concerns promptly to minimize downtime.

Adherence to Safety & Operational Standards

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures when operating the vehicle, ensuring secure loading, unloading, and driving throughout the facility.
• Drive responsibly within the facility, observing speed limits and operational guidelines while maintaining situational awareness to prevent accidents.
• Operate the vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with facility driving rules, speed limits, and operational standards to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Adhoc Tasks

• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• License Requirement: Restriction Code 1, 2, 3, 8.
• Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the company.
