About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Western Marketing Corporation as a Merchandise Analyst. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to optimize our product assortment and inventory levels. This full-time role is based in our office in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a specific product category, focusing on assortment, pricing, and placement across all channels.
• Analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop forecasts to support merchandise planning and allocation decisions
• Visit branches to understand shopping patterns, predict trends, and help branches to improve marketing, inventory, pricing, and customer experience.
• Collaborate with buyers to determine optimal product assortment and inventory levels.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations to stakeholders on merchandise performance.
• Support the implementation of new merchandising strategies and initiatives.
• Provide insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, planning, or retail analytics
• Proficient in data analysis, including the use of Excel and other data analysis tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with retail planning and forecasting processes
• Passion for the retail industry and a desire to contribute to the success of the business
