Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly
Troubleshooting equipment and devices to test their efficiency and safety
Checking and repairing electrical systems
Educating the client on how to use and maintain their device
Implementing preventive measures in facilities to reduce the risks of future problems
Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them
Order parts needed for repairs if needed
Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed
Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers
Estimating budgets before starting a project

At least a high school graduate with Master Technician Certification
At least 2 years of experience as a technician
Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills
Working knowledge of the equipment needed for the job
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces
Ability to work independently without much supervision
Creative problem solver
Able to multitask on various projects
Able to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
Understanding of electrical regulations
Knowledge of property and safety regulations
Strong mathematical and technical skills
Strict attention to detail
