Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager – IT & Others Categories is responsible for managing procurement activities related to IT requisitions, including hardware, software, cloud services, IT infrastructure, and professional services. The role will also handle other ad-hoc procurement categories as required by the organization. This position requires strong strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management skills to drive cost efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end procurement of IT hardware, software, networking equipment, cloud solutions, and IT services.
- Develop and implement category-specific procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure supplier reliability.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and legal teams to ensure procurement aligns with business and compliance requirements.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify innovative and cost-effective IT solutions.
2. Ad-hoc Procurement Management
- Handle procurement for other indirect categories, including but not limited to:
- Office equipment & supplies
- Professional & consultancy services
- Facilities-related IT needs
- Special projects requiring IT-related or non-IT procurement
- Work with internal stakeholders to define requirements and identify best-fit suppliers.
3. Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation
- Source, evaluate, and manage IT and other category-specific vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing structures to secure competitive terms.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs.
4. Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost control measures while ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Provide spend analysis and forecasting reports to support decision-making.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure procurement policies and processes align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work with legal and IT security teams to ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments for vendor contracts and procurement decisions.
6. Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement workflows using ERP and e-procurement tools.
- Implement best practices to improve efficiency and transparency in procurement operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of procurement experience, with a focus on IT procurement and indirect categories.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software licensing, cloud services, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement management systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with IT, finance, and legal teams to ensure successful procurement execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
