1. Linen Collection & Distribution

• Retrieve used linens—such as sheets, gowns, towels, and pillowcases—from various hospital areas including wards and operating rooms.
• Categorize linens based on material and level of soiling to ensure appropriate washing procedures.
• Deliver freshly laundered linens to the relevant departments promptly and accurately.

2. Inventory Oversight

• Keep precise records of linens received, cleaned, and distributed across the hospital.
• Notify supervisors of any inventory issues, such as shortages, damage, or inconsistencies.

3. Laundry Operations Support

• Operate laundry machinery—including washers and dryers—when working within the hospital’s laundry facilities.
• Handle cleaning agents and disinfectants properly, following infection control and safety standards.

4. Hygiene & Infection Prevention

• Comply with hospital procedures for managing contaminated linen.
• Always wear the necessary PPE and maintain strict personal hygiene during handling and processing.
• Appropriately discard any linens that are no longer fit for use due to damage or contamination.

5. Linen Quality Control

• Inspect linens for damage, stains, or excessive wear and report findings as needed.
• Assist with basic mending or coordinate the disposal of unusable items.

6. Additional Duties

• Help restock linen supplies throughout the facility.
• Provide assistance with general housekeeping responsibilities when needed.
• Take part in training sessions focused on hospital hygiene, safety protocols, and proper handling procedures.

• High School Graduate/Vocational Course
• With Proven experience in hospital
• Willing to work on weekends or holidays
• Hospital cleaning / linen procedures experience preferred
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and standards
• Must be physically fit to perform tasks during the shift
• Must have good written and communication skills
• Knows basic tailoring works.
• Attention to details and a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness
