Job Summary

As an Accounting Integrations Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial data by managing the reconciliation of integrated accounting systems. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies between various financial platforms, making sure processes are adhered to, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a good grasp of accounting principles and systems integration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular reconciliations of financial data across integrated systems
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, variances, and errors in financial records
  • Generate and post adjustments to rectify identified discrepancies or errors in financial records
  • Ensure proper documentation and justification for all adjustments made
  • Troubleshoot integration issues
  • Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, reconciliation procedures, and issue resolutions
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and principles
  • Communicate and build rapport effectively with the customer or point of contact
  • Provide support to end-users on integrated systems and reconciliation processes

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and system integration.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. Especially being able to form meaningful relationships with our customers.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in using the following accounting packages; Xero, QBO
  • Proficiency in using the following eCommerce platforms; Square and Shopify
  • Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in using the following accounting packages; MYOB, Sage, Holded
  • Proficiency in using the following eCommerce platforms BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Squarespace, eBay
  • Experience with the creation of accounting adjustment entries
  • Certification in accounting or related field (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus
