JOB ROLE: NATIONAL SALES MANAGER


ABOUT THE ROLE:

The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, developing business strategies, and driving revenue growth. The role involves identifying potential clients, building long-term relationships, overseeing project bids, and ensuring the successful execution of contracts.



WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Sales Strategy & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to increase market share and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and key clients within the construction industry, including developers, contractors, and engineers.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competition, and customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, project managers, and procurement teams.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate and close deals while ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear goals, performance metrics, and sales targets for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve individual and team performance.

Project Bidding & Contract Management:

  • Lead the preparation of bids, proposals, and tenders for formworks and falseworks projects.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and project teams to ensure feasibility and competitive pricing of solutions.
  • Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.



WHO YOU ARE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth understanding of formworks, falseworks, scaffolding, and consumable items and accessories used in construction.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Progressive experience managing and mentoring a sales team to drive performance and achieve business goals.
  • Established relationships with key players in the construction sector, including contractors, developers, and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address client concerns and market challenges.



WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS:

  • Office-based with frequent field visits to construction sites, client offices, and industry events.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while managing a team of 5-8 Sales People
