Position: Company Guard / Security Guard

Department: Security

The Company Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the company’s premises, personnel, visitors, and property. The role includes monitoring activities, controlling access, conducting inspections, and responding to incidents to ensure a secure working environment.

SECURITY GUARD

- 20 years old and above

- At least college level, Bachelor’s degree is an edge

- With at least 2 years experience as a Security Guard or similar role

- Must be physically and mentally fit

- Must have a valid security license

- Willing to work on shifting schedule

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Additional coursework or training in security services, criminal justice, or law enforcement is an advantage.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid Security Guard License as per local/regional regulations.
• Basic Safety and Security Training Certificate from an accredited institution.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Firearms License (if the guard role involves armed security).
• Valid Driver’s License (in case patrolling or vehicle escort duties are involved).

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of security experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or automotive settings.
• Experience in vehicle inspection, access control, and surveillance systems is a strong asset.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong observation and surveillance skills – ability to monitor car yards, showrooms, and manufacturing areas.
• Proficiency in handling CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control devices.
• Basic understanding of vehicle identification numbers (VINs) and ability to recognize tampering or irregularities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and coordination.
• Ability to perform foot patrols and mobile patrols across large facilities or parking areas.
• Capable of responding to emergencies, such as theft, break-ins, or workplace incidents.

Physical Requirements:

• Good physical condition to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to respond quickly in case of incidents or emergencies.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and alertness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of responsibility for protecting valuable inventory, including vehicles, parts, and equipment.

Legal and Background Requirements:

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening if required by the company.

Work Availability:

• Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility to cover overtime or emergency shifts when necessary.
