Position Description

  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, building customer relationships, and selling the QIAGEN services in the assigned region.
  • Proactively sell instrument service contracts for QIAGEN installed instruments to end customers by using the installed base data.
  • Partner with other QIAGEN sales representatives to sell service agreements to key customers.
  • Contact customers primarily via the telephone or electronic channels.
  • Utilize the Customer relationship database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales.
  • Utilize pre-call planning for increased effectiveness, work along an action plan to implement company strategy and marketing activities.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably with a scientific background
  • Scientific background in Molecular Biology or disciplines and/or practical laboratory experience or experience with instrument service preferred.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this role.
  • Previous service contract selling experience preferred (especially if done by phone/electronic communication)

Personal Requirements

  • Language skills: English native speaker or excellent business fluent.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Customer and service-orientation.
