Description

We are looking for a results-driven Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as Accounts Executive for one of our Business Units (BU). This role is critical in overseeing the BU’s financial health, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, strategic financial planning, and providing leadership to the finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to align financial operations with the company’s goals.


Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial statements for the BU.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing financial risks.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.


Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the BU finance/accounting team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with operations, HR, and sales to achieve BU targets.


Strategic Involvement

  • Partner with BU heads to evaluate business opportunities, control costs, and drive profitability.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the BU.
  • Support and guide investment evaluations, pricing strategies, and capital expenditure decisions.


Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls within the BU.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies when necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance; at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience in managing financial operations for a business unit is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine taxation, GAAP, and financial systems.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
