Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Merchant Sales Specialist to help acquire and manage merchant partners in the food, restaurant, bar, retail, and service sectors. This role is perfect for someone with a knack for consultative selling, relationship building, and providing technical guidance. You will be engaging directly with merchants via sales calls, on-site visits, and onboarding support to promote and activate digital payment solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchant Acquisition: Identify and onboard potential merchants across specified sectors to grow our user base.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand merchant needs and offer tailored digital payment solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong, long-term partnerships with merchants to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Technical Demonstrations: Educate merchants on system functionalities, including hardware and portal walkthroughs.
  • Sales Visits & Canvassing: Conduct daily on-ground sales calls and visits within the NCR.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, merchant feedback, and market intelligence.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Lag Indicators:

  • Merchant activations and onboarding completions
  • Sales volume transacted through the payment platform

Lead Indicators:

  • Minimum 10 merchant visits and 30 telesales calls per day
  • Number of proposals/agreements sent (Closed Won vs Closed Lost)
  • Qualified merchant submissions for activation


Core Objectives of the Assignment:

  • Effectively pitch the payment solution and guide merchants through the onboarding and activation process
  • Respond to merchant inquiries via calls and emails
  • Engage in door-to-door canvassing and telesales outreach
  • Educate merchants on how to configure and use the payment system
  • Achieve monthly outreach and acquisition goals
  • Maintain detailed sales activity records for reporting and evaluation


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in sales or business development
  • Self-driven, proactive, and goal-oriented
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in both English and Tagalog
  • Technically inclined and comfortable using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Experience in merchant sales within the digital payments, banking, or fintech industries
  • Background in food & beverage or retail sectors
  • Additional dialects such as Chinese is a plus
