Role description:

The Global Sector Marketing Director is a newly created, senior leadership role, which sits in the Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE).

This role is one of three leadership roles within the Marketing CoE and holds the responsibility for the development and delivery of the Global Sector Marketing Strategy & Execution Plan. These plans influence each layer of the Marketing & Communications model – from Brand Awareness, Always on Paid Media, x-Sector Marketing Campaigns, and Events to Account-Based Marketing. The Sector Plans provide the voice of the business, and our clients and alignment with the Marketing & Communications function.

Interfacing with GBA Business and Sales leadership, and the Global Business Development team (Global Sector Leads, Cabinet Leads), this role holder will ensure that the Global Sector Marketing Strategy and Plan built from market data and insights are focused in the right areas, yielding the greatest commercial results and presents the best of what Arcadis can offer from across its Solution, Product Portfolios, Services, and Innovation Partnerships into each Sector

This role is global, scope/location, and the position can be filled in any Arcadis GBA location.

  • Energy & Resources & Water Global Sector Marketing Manager
  • Government & Public Agencies/Cities Global Sector Marketing Manage
  • Industrial Manufacturing & Technology Global Sector Marketing Manager
  • Property and Investment Global Sector Marketing Manager
  • Transportation & Contractors Global Sector Marketing Manager

Role accountabilities:

  • Development and delivery of the Global Sector Marketing Strategy & Plan
    • Understanding and analysis of GBA Business Plans and priorities and how these map to each Sector, including revenue targets, key pursuits, growth geographies, key clients, and areas showing the most commercial promise.
    • For each Sector Strategy & Plan
      • In-depth competitor and market analysis
      • Buyer journeys, persona mapping
      • Key Client mapping
      • Mapping of solutions, products, services, and innovation partnerships to Sectors to clearly define offer and client Value Propositions
      • Development of campaign brief for x-Sector Marketing Campaigns (where applicable)
  • Close working and collaboration with Country Marketing & Communications leads to agree on Sector approach for each of the key regions.
  • Working with the Client Experience Team to feed data and insights into the Marketing Strategies & Plans.
  • Leadership of the Global Sector Marketing Team – 5 direct reports.
  • Working with the x-GBA Communications Director, to drive alignment on internal and external communications amplification, media engagements, and press coverage.

Key Shared Accountabilities:

  • The delivery of the go to market initiatives and programmatic client engagement is done in partnership with the Digital, Brand and Event CoEs and GSSC and Ops Enablers.
  • Country go to market alignment is supported by the Global Sector Marketing Team to drive consistency across countries and sectors.
  • Demonstrating tangible business results through demand and lead generation via a strong x-sector approach to marketing, aligned with key client programs.

  • The Global Sector Marketing Strategy & Plan
  • The x-Sector Marketing Campaign program & timeline
  • The integrated Places Marketing Strategy & Plan

Influences:

  • GBA Corporate External Communications Plans
  • Channel Selection, event participation
  • Positioning for brand & content development (from competitor/market knowledge)

Vetoes:

  • Requests for support with items that are not in line with the new strategy (Brand Awareness, ABM, x-GBA marketing)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experienced Marketing leader with knowledge and experience gained within the Professional Services Sector.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – able to balance the needs of several stakeholders simultaneously and hold firm on priorities.
  • Experience in developing integrated Marketing Strategies that drive lead generation.
  • Highly collaborative, can work with ease across global, matrixed teams, different cultures, and a diverse range of skills and talents.
